Pottering in The Patch

I was in a funk of a head space this afternoon...you know the one..where you just feel a little twitchy and anxious for no reason. Nothing big, but you can't put your finger on why you feel that way.
So, after another session of editing the website, I put the laptop away, and went for some flower therapy in The Flower Patch.
Always does the trick.
Sunshine and flowers....what more could I want?! Lush!

I'm not actually sure how long these arrangements take to create, but I know it's not 30secs ha!
Here's a few facts about these stunning pedestal arrangements
🟣The first one always takes the longest. Once you've done the first one, you have an idea of the design in your head, so each one gets quicker and quicker.
🟡The arrangement is created in a round dish with a big rim, perfectly sized to sit in the pedestal
🟠I used Dahlias, Delphiniums, Roses, Scabia, Astilbe, Stocks, Clematis, Amaranthus, Ivy, Ruscus and Leather Leaf
🔴The cost of an arrangement like this starts at £250
🟢Working out in the fresh air and natural light, is my favourite way to work. It allows me to see the design in all it's glory with no restrictions. I can freely move around the arrangement to ensure it looks epic from every angle.

Were all from bringing Colour and the WOW factor, and these arrangements definitely achieved both!
Love them! - I'm allowed to praise my own work right?! 😉

A Real Wedding story

R&S came to me wanting their wedding flowers to feel like a spring day.
They tied the knot in late January, and we're desperate to add a little bit of spring to their big day.
They came to me with a vision (first photo-not my work)
We talked , drank coffee and I got to know them as a couple. By the end of our chat, I knew what they liked and more importantly didn't like.
After having a little last minute wedding panic about bridesmaid dresses and colour matches, they left our meet up saying "we absolutely trust you to create the best flowers"
Because that's what we do!
We get to know our couples, and they trust us to bring their visions to life.

Sometimes things just don't go to plan...ha!
I was sat looking at the Flower Patch, thinking I must go and cut and deadhead the flowers.
So, I thought rather than just throw them on the compost, I'd make a blowsy bouquet with them for the house!
But as you can tell....I was absolutely not feeling the love for it...ha ha!
But it's now in the house looking super pretty.

Things are not perfect all of the time, and that's what I love about flowers.
